COSMELAN® PEEL
The Cosmelan® peel is a professional-grade mask that is applied by board certified cosmetologist Monika Matynia in M Academy. The mask is left in place for a number of hours (depending on the degree of pigmentation and skin type). The cream is easily removed at home by the patient, with a neutral gentle facial cleanser several hours later. Cosmelan® will produce an initial “peeling” of the skin, which will leave the skin smooth and dramatically decrease the signs of facial pigmentation. Cosmelan® is a simple and safe treatment with minimal downtime.

DURING THE TREATMENT
When you visit us for your Cosmelan treatment, cosmetologist will apply a leave-on mask containing a unique mix of proprietary ingredients designed to address the complex, multi-step melanin production process. You’ll leave the clinic with the peel still on, and we’ll provide you specific instructions for when and how to remove it once you get home.
Following your in-clinic treatment, we will provide you with a home care kit containing some products you will need for the following seven months. The one product you will need to repurchase is the “Cosmelan 2 Cream,” which will last around 12 weeks. Some will use more cream and need about 2-4 replenishments, while others will only need one other tub to get through the whole seven months.
We will have you book a follow up appointment 8-12 weeks after your in-clinic treatment, so your provider monitor your results, and we’ll send you home with your replenishment cream. We do not have you replenish the other Cosmelan products in the home care kit (the recovery balm and the SPF) but can make recommendations for those items as needed.
